Region 14 Schedules

I’m amazed how region 14 cannot get schedules out to the directors in a timely manner. The host schools do not even get something to make sure everything lines up with them. Administration and transportation need time to prepare for the kids being out. Entries are due 30 days prior but we can’t get a schedule until a few days before the contest! Unbelievable that this happens every year!

This is concerning, especially if our bands have to perform at a time that we have to arrange lunch schedules for our students, along with getting appropriate information to our parents, transportation, and admin. This takes time to coordinate and not having appropriate information out only causes a lot more stress on all of the departments.

...they will refer it back to the Region Executive Committee.

To which you or your district superintendent attend(s) a REC meeting and ask why this is a consistent problem year after year, and file a formal complaint.

Yes...so no need to complain to Austin as you suggester prior. The REC is the body that hires the Region Sec.; that's where you lodge your gripe, and that's the body that needs to answer the $64,000 Question.
