Used clarinets

I have a clarinet player who is looking to buy her one instrument. She’s a fantastic player and she wants something that will last through college. I know of websites where brass players will sell older instruments to each other. Is there anything like that for clarinet that anyone is aware of?

Check out Encore Plus. They have good deals on used Buffet clarinets that they refurbish.

Dillon Music might have some. SaxQuest has expanded into clarinets and might be another place.

I don't know of a website for just clarinets but have you talked to your local music stores? They typically have used instruments they'll sell or rent at a discount if I remember right.

It depends on the store. My store's bread and butter is student instrument rentals. If you want a used student E11 or Backun or Klose then we can help. But if you want a step-up or professional instrument, it's going to be new. We don't have enough demand for used higher level instruments to keep them in stock.
