Unrepairable instruments

Has anyone used a company to sell off unusable/old instruments? How was your experience? How did your district finance dept handle it? Looking for options... Thanks.

I used Middleton Recycling, they came down and took all my old stuff. They can cut you a check or trade you some instruments depending on what you want to do.

Keep them for parts in the band hall. Cant tell how many times ive saved a kid from being without a horn by just fixing it myself

I talked to my admin about selling instruments and they gave the approval but had me handle it.

I used those local "we want used instruments!" groups and they'll buy the old and the broken, but they won't give you much in return.
