Iron Man, 7 Nation, 1,000 Dances, etc. doesn't cut it with our student body.
Does anyone have any suggestions for pep tunes that connect.
I have looked for years, so much trash in some really hip tunes!

ask your kids what songs they would like to play. Ask them to find a video or recording of a marching band playing that song.
Then go to musescore and try to find it. It will probably be horribly scored. Re-arrange it to fit your band.

What's your majority/community population like? Majority white, black, Hispanic, Indian, SE Asian?
I've been after the major publishers for YEARS to make their pop tunes/pep tunes more diverse, but it hasn't happened yet. There ARE publishers and independent arrangers that make arrangements of songs popular in these communities, though.
Your best bet is to talk to other bands that have decent numbers in your city whose populations look like yours and ask them where they get their music. It may be that their director makes their own arrangements - which usually is illegal - so be careful there.
