I just wanted to share a positive moment: We had our solo and ensemble recently. I had a number of students take on solos and actually learn them on there own-no help needed from me, with the exception of little touch ups and accompaniment right before. They all did well. All 1's, except for one little bundle of nerves that did not play as well as usual, but knew they could have done better. I know this may be the norm for most, but in the past, I have had to really help them out a lot with learning their solos. It was really nice to see them accomplish something on their own. Progress was made. Have a great day.
