I am searching for something that may not exist...a class 1, 1 flute and 2 clarinet ensemble, all solid players. There are plenty of fl, ob, clar. Can I sub a clarinet for oboe? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
You must play a listed instrumentation. There isn't officially a flute-clarinet-clarinet trio on the PML at the Grade 1 level.
Maybe "play any published combination" as written in the instructions for Les Tourbillons by Dandrieu may have that parting? Or let one of your clarinet players double on alto sax and do Three Cousins by Haspiel?
