Death of Fred Schroeder

Fred Schroeder, a dear friend and retired Band Director at Driscoll MS in San Antonio passed last night after a sudden illness. Fred was member of the Texas Bandmasters Hall of Fame, Phi Beta Mu and had an Honor Band at Bammel MS in Houston when teaching there.
Funeral arrangements are pending. RIP.

Fred was a great guy and an outstanding band director. Fred’s passing was very sad to hear. Prayers for his family.

I was in the 4th/5th Army Band with Fred during the Viet Nam era. He was a true gentleman and an outstanding band director. His students loved him. He will be missed very much. RIP, Fred.
