You only get two 50min beginner classes. One director is a Brass Player and one is a WW. Only have band hall and one other alternate classroom available. How Would you split?
Last Year we had a WW/Percussion class that was split and a full Brass class.
(10)Flute, (14)Clarinet & (6)Alto Sax Class / (10) Percussion
That's our situation where we're at. I take the woodwinds one period and percussion the other, the other classes are split by High Brass one period and Low Brass the other.
I would love to be able to split the woodwinds up more, but I won't sacrifice the percussion or the brass splits since I think it helps them more in the grand scheme. I had one year where was able to have a 5th section and had flutes/oboe - that was a nice year! (Admins changed and things changed)
