Dear (Your Principal),
This letter is to inform you of my resignation effective at the end of our current contract (or you can put the specific date of the last day on contract here). Thank you for the opportunity to teach students in (your ISD).
Nothing more. Don't talk about why you're quitting. Don't talk about your new opportunity or where you're going. Simply say, in nicer words, "As of X date, I am no longer employed by you."
Why today/now? Because someone will want your job. And the sooner you resign, the sooner they'll have an opportunity to apply for it.
