Be very clear about when you'll take delivery of your new uniforms. Make sure you're meeting all their deadlines, and be the squeaky wheel when they miss their deadlines on getting stuff to you. |
Hold them accountable when something on the sample or the actual uniforms is not what was agreed upon and make sure you have all changes, etc. in writing.
I'd also prepare your finance people that you may want to hold paying the invoice until you've received everything AND THEY'RE CORRECT, otherwise you'll have almost no leverage with the company.
I'd also recommend talking to colleagues, in-person, that have bought uniforms recently as you'll probably find out more information about the reliability and professionalism of the various companies.
