I know this is probably the millionth time this question has been asked, but.................

Has anyone heard if TBA is a go, or....... no???

TBA Pres announced on Facebook that TBA will be in-person this year! Hooray!!

I hope we do.

One of my favorite memories is holding a cold beverage in one hand while enduring a good natured kidding by Francis McBeth regarding my receding hairline-my response-oh really? “Hermones” Priceless.

The last TBA I attended I watched two brothers who are highly-regarded teachers in our profession in the cafe with their legendary father. They tenderly sat him in his seat at the cafe table. They brought him lunch and they sat with him and ate with him-just the three of them. I was filled with admiration and compassion-maybe not as much as a director. More as a father and human?

I contemplated quitting teaching many times in my career-but NEVER while attending TBA.

I hope we can have TBA again. Especially that kind of TBA.

Their website says they are waiting for San Antonio to modify come covid protocols and housing stuff so they can get final approval to be in person.

Its supposed to be. They posted something on facebook.

My campus has already asked for us to submit our summer PD for reimbursement. I might miss out on those funds.

The membership letter that TMEA just sent out stated that the TBA convention will be held in San Antonio this summer and that TMEA would have a presence there. I thought that was interesting since we haven't heard anything official from TBA.

They’re waiting for San Antonio to give capacity limits. As soon as they set those they’ll go live with it.

are waiting on San Antonio to relax/change their hotel/convention center requirements/restrictions. It depends on what the city of San Antonio.
