I've just created 116 MP3 audio files of many solos' piano accompaniments with the solo tracks now muted so that anyone who wishes to use them is free to do so for student practice and/or for use at S&E Contests. (The accompaniments are all Sibelius generated).
The recordings with the solo tracks sounding (including the new 20 song additions listed below) are still there, just in another folder separate from the new accompaniment tracks that have piano only.
I've also just added more accompaniment recordings (also free) for 20 additional solo titles that are on the current UIL PML that includes:
Seeing the challenges so many directors are now facing due to the COVID situation coupled with SmartMusic now being web based only, I just thought I'd do this to make things a little easier for anyone who might be able to use any of these solo accompaniments. Feel free to download any or all of my files to keep for future use as well. My compliments.
I've rearranged the folders on my Google Drive where these are all stored and I've created new compressed ZIP files for each of those folders for anyone who wants to download all of the contents of each folder all at once.
The accompaniment MP3 files are in a newly created folder: Solo Accompaniments
Any additional accompaniment recordings I might happen to create later will be put in these folders as well. I'm glad to share these and I don't need anything for them. (Happily retired).
One other note is that I created most of my original Sibelius solo files before 2015, so there are likely a few solos in these folders that may no longer be on the UIL PML, so checking to make sure is advised. I'm confident most still are on the list.
Anyone who may have any questions about working with these files is free to contact me as I'm glad to help if I can.
Oh my gosh this was incredibly helpful to me. I'm going crazy trying to get piano recordings for UIL next week. Thank you so much for sharing this! Do you take requests??
Actually, I can take requests and would do them for free if I'm able to do this. If you like, feel free to contact me off list via e-mail and I'll be glad to take a look at what you need.
For this to work, I'd need a solo's piano accompaniment scanned into a single PDF file at 300 to 400 dpi and in greyscale. In color would work if your copier/scanner doesn't have that greyscale setting, but scanning in plain black & white text won't work. Greyscale works best.
On the scans, all of the pages need to be completely visible with none of the bar lines being cut off on the sides and the less writing on the page the better.
If the solo accompaniment(s) is do-able and I'm able to create an accompaniment for you, I'll likely be able to e-mail it to you and I'll add it to the collection I just posted for others to use if they wish. I can take a look at several if you have more than one.
