Sightreading

For those going to contest

Are you going to include your remote kids while practicing the sightreading material? Logistically this is a nightmare.
Also-sanitation wise, you pretty much have to copy all the pieces-I don’t imagine folders this year or passing out then taking back up.

Do you have a contract or flexibility on them practicing from home but them coming for practices or the concert/contest?

I don’t go until April 30-curious as to others thoughts with this

I don't have anyone online in HS Band at the moment. I put a new piece in their folder slot each day and after we read it they put it in the back of their binder. I will be placing those copies in a poly folder sometime before next year to use again.

I've made folders with copies of all the pieces for all my middle school band members. They use the same folder each week so we don't have any sharing going on. They stay in a folio cabinet.

what I did was put the piece on the stands before they entered. let them put their folders over the music until we were ready to sight read. After rehearsal, they left the music on the stand. Once a week, different practice.
