Bass Guitar Amps

I would love some recommendations on a bass guitar amp for my jazz band. Thanks in advance!

I replaced my very old, but second generation "solid state" Kustom bass amp with a Fender Rumble 150 a few years ago, and it is great. Plenty of presence, punch and tone color controls for a jazz band, or any ensemble and a line out for mixed Broadway shows, etc. I also love the headphone jack for practice at home and "before the show". You will want to get and use the Fender amp stand to get it off the floor and at a proper projection angle. This amp is a great value and is relatively easy to haul!

Fender rumble is cheap, sounds good, has line out, and IS VERY LIGHTWEIGHT (shockingly so)

We have a Hartke Kickback bass amp that has great tone & enough power to project over a strong wind section & set player. Pretty durable too.

You want an amp with a line out feature. That will let you use the amp as your monitor while controlling the overall volume through your sound system.

The Fender Rumble series would be a good choice. Peavy makes several good bass amps as well.

I use an Ampeg BA 210. At 450 watts, it's way more than you will need, but you don't have to push it very hard to get the volume you need.
