So I'm looking for a good, comfortable conductors chair. But I really don't want to spend over $700 to get a wenger one. Any suggestions??

We just purchased a Pearl timpani throne. One assistant has a bum leg and can use that during rehearsal. I tried it, several times, but can't seem to be comfortable sitting during rehearsal. One day I may have to I am sure.

forget the expense - get what you want - it will be in that school for 20-30 years after you have left. A good chair was always such a "comfort" when I was working with a 5th grade saxophone class.

Look at timpani thrones by Rock-n-Soc or Pearl for $200-$300.

I got a stool at Walmart for about 20 bucks, but I feel guilty every time I sit on it. And it's not very comfortable, which is a good thing.

These work, at about half the cost of a Wenger https://www.melhart.com/c-137-conductor-seating.aspx
