I have a friend who comes and does oboe lessons for us normally. She suggested the Fox Renard 330 when we bought a new one about seven years ago. It's resin, but has the full key system on it. I would love to have a Loree for my best oboe players, but a wooden oboe comes with its own difficulties with cracks potentially. For that reason I went with it to have something that would be more durable. |
Other than once or twice needing some adjustment it's held up well. Sounds great in my players hands, tuning is good, so no complaints! Not a fan of the zip case - at some point I need to replace that in the next couple of years. (Too many instruments are coming with them!)
