It's that time of year. I know this question is asked every year, so I'll be the first: Anyone have recommendations for PLAYABLE class 1 trumpet solos? Seems like most of them are really long and all the ones I have used in the past have been moved down. I have a couple of students who have worked their way up to class 1's, but no intention of memorizing.

Suite - Orlando Gibbons - Play 3 mvt. Concerto for Trumpet - Handel - Play 2 mvt.
..are the two most playable that I am aware of.

I'll 2nd the Gibbons Suite, As far as the Handel goes, you have to play either mvts 1 & 2 or mvts 3 & 4.
A couple more good ones: All 'Antica - Goeyens Andante et Allegro - Ropartz
The Ropartz is my favorite for a first Class 1 solo nowadays.
