Solo-Ensemble accompaniment options

Hey Yellow Board, I need some ideas.

Where I am located, piano accompanists are extremely hard to find. SmartMusic doesn't have nearly the repertoire that it used to, so that's out.

Is it a requirement to have the accompaniment played at solo-ensemble contest? And if so, does anyone have an idea on what to do in this situation?

We have a piano accompanist that is very capable and has extensive accompanying experience. COVID has severely impacted his ability to make a living and he is looking for work and would be willing to travel. You can contact him at 210-374-6886

YES must have unless it's unaccompanied & that's rare. make midi recording on your own - those can be converted to Smart Music Files. There are also some colleges with musicians that can record them and send them to you so that students can practice with those and use them for S/E . I completely understand this situation as i have been there.

Yes, it's a requirement.

Find a pianist (call your local churches if need be) who will RECORD the accompaniment, and have your kid play to the recording.

Barring that, there are some folks who post on here who have dozens of recordings of S&E accompaniments they are willing to share with you.
