Concert Contest Question

I'm in a private school and we will play Grade 1 or 2 music at Concert Contest this year. If we go to a recorded contest I will need to make the recording in our Chapel. One of the rules for using the Chapel is that we can only play religious music. I could use some helping finding music for my group: good arrangements of religious marches, UIL tunes and we also get to do one song NOT on the PML. Help me please?

Not on the list anymore, but I'm sure uil would allow these if you send a request. Especially if you only need to play grade 1. Both were on the grade 2 list.

If you would consider grade 3:

On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss (Holsinger)
Battle of Jericho (Spinney) - used to be on the grade 2 list

I'm at a private school and we are allowed to play one song that is ON the list and one song that is NOT on the list. I had forgotten about Jericho, thanks!

Gary Gazlay does some nice arrangements that are described as religious in his notes. They’re also well written and the students enjoy as well. The two I know of are on the grade 1 and 2 lists.

Go to UIL PML. There are a number of works on the grade 1& 2 list that are religious.
