Three Folk Miniatures

Would substituting clarinet for oboe in Jutrass's Three Folk Miniatures be appropriate for UIL. The piece fits our band except for double reeds.

That is a very appropriate choice for substitution. Go for it.
I’ve been judging UIL for 25 years and would not have a problem with your plan.
