TSSEC?

Hey yal:

I know this sounds a little early to be asking this, but I'm curious if anyone has heard anything about TSSEC this year. More specifically, is TSSEC happening this year? It can be a pretty crowded event, so I'm just curious as to what discussions are being had at this point about that particular event.

As a director, I have to budget for it, but the pandemic has made it hard to plan these kind of things for the obvious reasons.

So far, UIL has pushed forward with everything full steam ahead. Only ATSSB and TMEA have postponed or gone virtual with events. UIL has not had one virtual event to date. So I think that's a pretty reasonable question.

Thank you. I'm glad someone does...

That's what I'm saying. UIL hasn't done a single thing virtually yet, so I need to know if I need to budget for a large amount of kids going to a super mega crowded TSSEC event. So much could change from now to then (vaccine, etc...) but I mean, who knows. It's just hard to tell.

but, in their defense, the UIL activities this fall have mostly been outdoor activities. There is a great deal of concern for UIL academics and other indoor activities. There are other activities that have gone virtual. I cannot say what "they" are going to do, but I can assure you that they are weighing all options as we type.
