What are some things that jazz directors are doing during this time of limited performance opportunities? How are you creating performance opportunities for your jazz students?
At my school, we have the opportunity to have a live performance but we will only be streaming it. No audience. If this performance method continues into the second semester, I plan record mini concerts maybe once every month or month and a half.
I am curious as to what other directors are doing in terms of festivals or fundraising?
I appreciate the input. Thanks all.

man that's about it, streaming... we are still hopping for a festival in the spring, but for now mini concerts for admin, school board, and a couple gigs for the chamber board, and Rotary club board, total audience of 10-12. we really need to perform... come on vaccine. So if a jazz band performs and no one hears it, does it make a sound? or was that a tree falling in the woods?
