This will be my last year, when do I tell my coworkers?

I work in a prestigious district as a head MS director, and I have great relationships with my assistant and the HS we feed into. Iíve sat and crunched the numbers, and after much deliberation Iíve decided that this will be my last year teaching. |
Quarantine led me to realize that the daily grind of 6:30am-5:30pm plus concerts and weekends just arenít worth it anymore. This semester we arenít doing sectionals, and though hybrid learning sucks majorly, being at school less has led me to realize how much the hours arenít worth it.
So, my spouse and I have made a game plan and I will pursue a masters starting this summer.
At what point do I tell my colleagues/principal/FA director? My assistant is amazing, and I am good friends with the HS team.
Also, how do I get paid for my days? Iíve got at least 50 saved up and I donít want to take a bunch of them and leave my assistant in the lurch, but I also donít want to lose them....
