I will have at most a half dozen kids in each class tomorrow (some as low as two). We are also on an A/B schedule (one group of kids come one day, the other group the next) and a split day schedule (the kids do half the periods one day, the other half the next. When they are not in the building that day, they are to continue logging in remotely. Because of this, I will see two groups only one in person this week. We were also told we would need to review all in-person procedures as if it were the first day of school each day a group shows up in person. That basically, everyday this week is like the first day of school. I doubt we will get to do anything this week. |
When we do get to play, we will be playing indoors. I have asked for guidance and have been given none. But, considering we are still doing remote instruction at the same time as in-person instruction, we really don't have an option. We set the band hall up in straight row with six feet in between each chair. We got 20 chairs set up. I keep telling everyone that if our district could open up 100% in-person without looking like the uncaring morons we actually are, we would. But, image is everything so we need to look like we are doing the right thing.
