I am spending the beginning part working with 5 minute theory to put the foundations in place during virtual learning. I have made videos of all the concepts that cover the first few weeks of school (e.g. how to set everything up, how to hold sticks, 8 on a hand, rebound stroke, etc.) and will give them the video of the lesson I will teach over Teams. |
Once we go in person (with some students still virtual) I will live stream the class AND post it online for them to reference.
The rule I am following is if I normally accomplish 10 things in a week in a traditional nonCOVID year, I hope to get 2 skills taught a week. I am having to look at what I normally teach and expect and make the goals more realistic for them.
The videos are shot with a camera over my head to allow the students to see from the players perspective AND a camera in front for them to get a normal class perspective.
