Interview question help for someone coming back to the band hall after a year out of it

Hey all! I have an interview later this week, and I'm a little nervous. I had a similar interview two weeks ago, and that one didn't pan out. It seems good that I'm even remotely getting CALLED, but it's hard not to feel like it's pointless because I am just one applicant out of many others, and those folks haven't had a year off of band (health reasons at the time for me). |
How do I answer questions based on hypothetical situations that I never experienced in my previous job (student sharing, school events taking precedence over band ones, etc.)? My previous position was rather limited in scope and duties, if I'm being completely honest, and it feels as though I have years of what basically amounts to non-experience from that district when I try to formulate answers.
How do I answer questions like those? Gung-ho in favor of the band program/administration? Some weird non-commital middle ground?
This seems like a pathetic thing to ask, but I really do want to succeed in this profession. I just don't know how to answer questions based on experiences that I haven't had yet.
