Leadership, Drum Major & Colorguard Camp

Registration closes for the Texas A&M University-Commerce 2020 VIRTUAL Leadership, Drum Major & Colorguard Camp on June 7th. Our highest priority is the personal and musical well-being of your students, faculty, staff, and our current and future Lions. With tuition reduced to $45.00, we sincerely hope that we can assist programs and families that have been financially affected by sheltering-in-place. We recognize that, for some, the timing of leadership and drum major auditions will be impacted as well. We encourage you to register prospective and future leaders, so that all may benefit from the outstanding experience we have in store.
We are pleased to continue our close partnership with the 19-time, and reigning, DCI World Champions, The Blue Devils! The following is a list of their staff that will be directly involved in this year’s event, as well as other special guests:

Todd Ryan - Visual Caption Head, the Blue Devils
Scott Chandler - Program Coordinator, Colorguard Designer, the Blue Devils
John Meehan - Brass Arranger/Co-Caption Head - the Blue Devils
Chip Crotts - Brass Co-Caption Head - the Blue Devils
Scott Johnson - Battery Arranger/Caption Head, the Blue Devils
Brian Dinkel - Front Ensemble Arranger/Caption Head, the Blue Devils
Mike Howard - Head Band Director, Vandegrift HS - and more!
After an opening session on Sunday, June 14th, students will be participating in four hours of daily VIRTUAL instruction from our world-class staff on Monday, June 15th and Tuesday, June 16th.
• The Leadership Camp features Frank Troyka, Todd Ryan, John Meehan, Chip Crotts, Scott Johnson, TJ Doucette, and renowned fitness specialist, Scott Esquibel, among others.
• The Drum Major Camp features a staff led by Koji Mori, former drum major of the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps, and Director of Orchestras at Harrison (GA) High School, including sessions with Todd Ryan, and much more! All of our drum major participants will have daily leadership sessions with Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser and Frank Troyka!
• Colorguard performers from novice to advanced will have the opportunity to interact with Lauren Potter, TAMUC Colorguard Director, and staff member with Frisco Lebanon Trail High School and Colorguard Theater. Kris Galbreath, staff member with the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps, and David Arvin, Co-Director of Colorguard Theater, will also work with the colorguard participants, in addition to special guest TJ Doucette. The colorguard curriculum will include leadership sessions with Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser and Frank Troyka!
