Yes to Marcello c minor. Also the Cimarosa, any of the Handel Sonatas. A seldom played but very fun one is the Jacobs Sonatina. Ravel Piece en forme de Habenera is done (overdone?) a lot because it is so short for those memorizing for TSSEC, but I think it takes a very mature musician to really pull it off. Poulenc Sonata is gorgeous, and the 1st mvmt (which is the requirement) isn't too terribly hard. |
The Marcello Concerto is pretty playable, my senior was successful with that one her freshman or sophomore year.
