I knew this saga wasn't over (for a refresher here is Part 1 and Part 2)
I got word that the teacher who quit, asked for and was given their job back after a weekend, then quit again, is now asking for their job back. But, they aren't asking for it back directly. Instead, they are using the "Remind" account they setup in the name of the school at the beginning of the year to contact parents and students. They are asking parents and students to go to the administration, superintendent, and school board on their behalf. They want the parents to ask the district to hire them back - to ask for them to come back. This person quit twice and still wants to come back, but wants the district to ask them back. This person is beyond delusional. The district is apparently working with "Remind" to delete their account and they have ask this person to stop any contact with district personnel and students and parents. Students and parents have been asked to ignore any contact from this former teacher and to report to the district if this teacher attempts to contact or interact with them, even in passing.

When you say the "district" is telling people to ignore him, and telling him to stop contacting students, I hope you mean that the superintendent and/or board has gotten involved. At this point, if they haven't, they need to be; this guy is up-ending the apple cart and causing nothing but chaos. Someone at that level needs to tell this guy, "Don't come back".
I am from out-of-state. The teacher's college I went to required every education major to pass a psychological screening during our sophomore year in order to continue in the program. This was to help screen out candidates who might not be able to handle the stress of the job. Going by what you have stated in your three posts, this guy would have flunked the screening going down in flames.

I am now just reading this thinking I actually worked with some pretty horrible first year wannabe band director last year and he pulled some serious mess. The guy I worked with was late to school - every day of the all freaking year except for maybe 10 days. I had never seen that in my entire year. In addition, he was not too wise.He told me ( a female) that I had to tell him every time I left the room to go to the RR. On one occasion I was longer and he demanded to know why. Oh really? This punk took the cake on almost everything he did. In addition, there was a rape/sexual encounter in a practice room ..... I used a practice room to teach out of w/ a small group of students and I was not told about this encounter until 4-5 weeks after the investigation of which he was a part of.
This prima donna thought he walked on water. He was above all policies that the school and district had. He falsely accused me of things I did not do. I kept thinking- you idiots- just pull the cameras... you find that I am not lying. This was my first negative encounter with the generation that everyone has spoken about. Your person and my co-worker sound like they are related or as if they may have been acquaintances. I hung on until the year was starting to get busy. I then went to the head principal told them about a few choice incidents. I told this person that was tired of putting up with their garbage. I had let it go in one ear and out there other for 7 long months. I decided the nice salary was not worth the headache. I went home that weekend thinking how nice it would to not come to work. The only option I had at that moment was to quit. And, quit I did. What a fabulous feeling that was. I did not tell a soul.I did tell the principal, of course. I did not beg for my position back. I thought they could do better things with it. The district did as I had hoped. The position was dissolved and they no longer had a person in the band department to harass.
One of the other band directors came up to me about 2 weeks later and asked if I had anything I needed to talk about and I said no. He said, but you are quitting and I said, so. I know it must have driven up the wall that I had not thing to say to them.
The moral of story- do not put up with crap. I had already found out that my district takes sides. If they are friends with a person that you are complaining about they will not take you seriously. Even if that person is harassing you. I pray that someday this district will get a lawsuit so they will learn their lesson: take all complaints seriously.
For the elective teacher that had the ability to quit 3 times- that should have been prevented. The first time he submitted his letter- the book should have been closed. He should not have been allowed back in. Now, that person will think that all positions can be handled this way. If he had been employed by me I would have had the security officer escort him to his car the Monday after the first submission of resignation. The person does not know anything. No psychiatrist can fix severely broken.
I was initially going to ask if you taught for the prison system....but, I guess not. That elective teacher should apply at Windham schools. If I were you I would volunteer for anything that person had assigned to them. Sounds like they were the wanna be powder puff organizer

This person needs to see a psychiatrist first, and then find another career. I don’t know what in though... if I was the district I would probably be putting something legally together against that employee for contacting everyone....
