Honestly, the do the same thing when you come in to undergrad from high school. If your ACT/SAT wasn't satisfactory, some schools will let you in on probationary status and watch you and your grades for a semester or so before letting you off their watch. I'm no grad student but I can't imagine some schools wouldn't do things much differently. Like they said before, schools want your money and will find a way to get you in somehow. |
Anybody have any recommendations on how to recover a low gpa for graduate school? Let's say I didnt "figure it out" until the last 2 years of college, and have a sub 3.0 gpa because of bad choices and bad situations. My last 60 hours (including student teaching) is above 3.0, but overall I'm a tad bit lower then a 3. Anyone have experience with this? I would love the opportunity to approach a masters with my current work ethic and mentality, but I'm not sure if that ship has sailed.
