Highest quality for price? Get the Malletech Infinity Series 2.6 octave. Free-floating (no hole drilled through the bars) and great tone. Can't go wrong. |
Adams, Yamaha, and Musser all make a quality glock for about $2k that is about the same price as the Malletech, but is a bit more durable if that's something you're worried about.
Very few school band programs will need a 3-octave set of orchestra bells, but if you want one, be prepared to pay twice as much as for a 2.6.
Adding a field frame (recommended!) to whichever set you buy is also a good idea, even if it's going to stay inside.
What would be the best high quality bell set for the money?
