This is what we use as well. |
Iíve been using the Behringer X32 producer model for a while. Itís pretty easy to learn, user friendly, and just a great board for the price.
Presonus makes affordable digital mixers that look like an analog mixer. Great functionality, and price.
It's been about 12 years since I've had to buy a mixer. The one we have at the 3A school I'm now at is of unknown age and starting to malfunction. I'm very familiar with the Yamaha digital board that many have, but I don't know what is out there now, and I don't necessarily have thousands of dollars to drop right now on a high end replacement. For the foreseeable future, we are only going to need 6-8 channels to mic our front ensemble and a couple of channels for soloists. I absolutely want a digital board with motorized faders and the ability to save scenes. Other than that, most other features would probably be wasted on us. For the sound experts out there, any suggestions on what to look at?
