Honestly, because it's Texas and you never know. The last three years (at least) we've had a crazy rainy forecast for Area day. We haven't used the inclement weather day yet. Only one of those years did we even have a delay, and the weather didn't hit until 3 in the afternoon anyway.

I've already warned my district transportation people that Tuesday is a possibility. We have backup plans to the backup plans.
