I believe that all trumpet students, trumpet teachers, school band directors, amateur trumpet players, and even professional trumpet players will find this book useful. I play a few of the exercises in this book for about 20-25 minutes every day when I practice at home, unless it’s on a day that I have a gig, concert, or demanding rehearsal. On days like that, I use one of the Quickie Warm-Ups that are in this book, since those Quickie Warm-Ups warm me up in only about 5 minutes, and they don’t wear me out before a performance or rehearsal.
This book is actually a lot more than what the title implies. In addition to improving and expanding the player's upper register range limit, the exercises in the book also improve endurance, stamina, flexibility, and accuracy, along with many other basic trumpet skills. I have included a lot of tips and suggestions in this book in the 22-page Preface section of the book, and there is also an Extended Range Chromatic Fingering Chart on page 26 of the book that many of you will find very helpful. Notes in the upper register often seem impossible to play until you have tried the best fingerings for these notes, along with learning the correct air speed that is required for each one of these notes. Hope you find this book useful!
