I took over a program that the previous director had no accountability for the kids. All of the kids knew it, and it frustrated the ones that worked hard and showed up every day. I had some seniors that learned real fast that I say what I mean and mean what I say. Not attending practice? Not in the show. It has paid off and this year we have no problems with attendance and moral is so much higher than last year. I will reach out to parents one time. If a parent is having to force a kiddo to come to practice, then it may not be the right fit for them.
