This seems to be more like I won the sweepstakes prize (e.g. lottery or simular). How did we (UIL) get that term to mean the highest award/trophy?
Related to this how to you explain to parents what a 1st division and/or sweepstakes actually means. I also seem to fall flat when try to explain how awesome it is. Usually parents get the take-away that we "won". Which is ok, but not technically correct.
