So way back in the day, if you didn't participate at UIL marching, or didn't earn a first division at marching, but did pull one's in c&sr, you were awarded a "Special Award" plaque. In today's world that is a "Sweepstakes B" award. My class A band does not participate in marching. We do participate in c&sr. So, out B trophies do say "Sweepstakes" on them.
