It's very easy to have Tonal Energy count for you with a male or female voice. Having said that I generally have Tonal Energy's met set to McMet or Doctor.
Metronome>Settings>Metronome Sound - scroll all the way down.

While I love the met on my iPad played through bluetooth to my speakers, I prefer the voice style of Pro Metronome. So I have TE set up for drones, tuning, scales (it will play scales for you in different temperaments!!), and a loud metronome. And then I swipe over to Pro Metronome if I need "Mike the Metronome". I'll always thank Mike for counting for us. In TE if I have it count it's Carol because of Mike and Carol - they don't get it.
