Halftime is 28 minutes. We can't fit the dance team, our whole show, and the fight song in 14 minutes, so we always plan to do only part of the show to stay within our 14.

Thursday was the 3rd time this year that the visiting band has played their entire show, leaving us short on time. We had less than 10 minutes left on the clock when they left the field. We ended up playing only 1 movement to make sure we were off the field before the buzzer.

Am I overly concerned about this? I know it can be a penalty on the home team if the band goes over, regardless of whether the visiting band actually caused the problem. But I've never seen or heard of that actually happening.
