Using MainStage in the marching show this year, has been mostly worry free until recent.

Sometimes right after MainStage is booted up, the first sounds are that of 1000 tortured souls. A terrible screeching at way louder of a volume than programmed, will also happen if MainStage is already running and the midi keyboard is unplugged for whatever reason.

Other times it will be running fine, then suddenly change to a static sound reminiscent of my childhood home before cable.

Computer is a 13” MacBook Pro, don’t know specifics of ram and hard drive, but I assume it’s basic level.

Any suggestions? I’ve read it could be the CPU is over working.
