This is a bit of an awkward position that you're in.

First, does your HD know that this is your lunch time they are taking up? If they do then I'd ask them when they suggest you eat lunch since they are taking it up. If not them I'd let them know, "Hey, I'm going to go eat, and I'll try and get back to do task X before the next class".


Does your HD eat lunch? Or do they work through it as well?

I'm pretty sure the district is legally obligated to give you a 30 minute duty free lunch.
