Are you sure you can’t find Yamahas like the YCL-450 for less than or at least the same price point as Backun? Jupiter I can see being cheaper but also not great. As a clarinetist (director, too,) I can’t stand the Backun—I think they’re so heavy compared to Yamaha’s and I wouldn’t recommend beginners starting on them. At least not without a neck strap.
