Most of it comes from word of mouth in my experience. I've been writing drill for 10 years and have a handful of clients that approached me after years of frustration with their current writer.

Typically I charge between $1500 and $2000. It really depends on the number of students and specific requirements of the drill itself. The more restrictions I have as a writer, the more time it takes to create a drill.
