I needed a last minute switch for a piece for our non-varsity 1C JH group last month. I came across this piece, 'Base Camp March' that's VERY simple. There's one tricky spot right before a little woodwind moment that we've about decided is needing edited, but otherwise would be a very good first march for a beginning band I think!

I personally love Midnight Sky for a first lyrical song. Midnight Mission/Madness are good too, but Sky I think is Balmages greatest piece he's ever written to be honest. A lyrical piece at the Grade .5 level is impossible to write, but he did it!

Prehistoric Suite is an oldy, but a goodie that we do every now and then.
