It took me a while to figure this out as well. In the "Preferences", go to "Play" and scroll down to "Mixer". Move the slider all the way to the right. But, it still won't be as loud as Finale was. You will probably need to boost the level each individual instrument (not on the mixer but on the actual program). I've finally gotten to the point where I can do most of the stuff I could do easily on Finale, but Dorico isn't nearly as good as Finale in most respects. Afew aspects are better, but not many. The sound is one.
