Someone said to ask the judge their preference. But I take this a step further for the kids who don't want to do them. I tell the kids to specifically use the phrase "Is it ok if I leave out the repeats?". This wording helps weed out that handful of judges who will go "Ah what the hell, we have time, let's hear them!". No one likes that judge 😣.
