If you are talking about pre contest warm up:
Ensemble drill/warm up
Hit difficult technical passages
Run entire show with visual step outs and body
Have brass air only for many of the louder passages or “level 1” to save their face.
Definitely get them playing full out for certain parts, but don’t blow their face.
