1)Have them change their concept of air. Instead of playing with cold air, have them play with warm air (saying "ha" so they feel warm air on their hands instead of the normal "blowing out a candle." This opens the oral cavity and more specifically the throat to allow more air to flow and also makes their sound fuller).
2)Now in lockstep with the above, have them do Remington exercises starting on low Bb down to F (or E), that increase in volume. first time p, then mf, then f, then ff, the FFF. Make sure their sound does not spread or have bumps at the the front end.
