Absolutely correct here! If this wording wasn't present, then anyone who judges an early contest would need to answer yes to that question. Also it's not uncommon if you direct a 1C Varsity and do the 3A NV band that you would see the same piece as a director back to back in one or two days.

As far as directors in the room this is a public contest according to UIL. You should be able to be in the back in the room. Problem is there is a very passionate group of people who think this is cheating and will tell you to get lost if you are obnoxious about it. (Especially if you're trying to peak at scores or parts!)
