There is absolutely no rule via UIL to prevent any directors from watching sightreading before they go, whether helping a group in their school or otherwise.

Don't let anyone tell you anything else cuz they'll be wrong.

Now, some regions have made rules about this (21 did a while back but I'm not sure if they still have it).
